After installing a new pool, the homeowners wanted to transform their backyard into something fresh, engaging, and fun. A space that felt just as enjoyable for entertaining as it did for everyday use. Their vision focused on adding personality and functionality with a playful chessboard while keeping the design clean, approachable, and easy to maintain.

The finished backyard blends playful elements with practical outdoor living features. Simple yet vibrant landscaping was installed around the pool, adding pops of color and softness that enhance the poolside atmosphere without overwhelming the space.

A custom paver chessboard became the centerpiece of the yard, offering a unique and interactive feature that invites guests to slow down, gather, and enjoy the outdoors in a new way. The chessboard was framed with Unilock Ledgestone coping and built using Belgard Holland pavers in Pewter and Midnight, creating crisp contrast and a polished look.

To complete the space, a streamlined outdoor kitchen was added for casual cooking and entertaining. The grill area was constructed with Belgard Lamina Veneer in a Pewter finish, tying seamlessly into the surrounding hardscape while maintaining a clean, modern feel.
