From Patio to Play: A Backyard Transformed

For this project, the homeowners opted for a phased approach to transforming their outdoor space. Their initial goal was to install a patio they could enjoy right away, with plans to complete the landscaping and front walkway the following season. By breaking the project into stages, they were able to thoughtfully build a cohesive design that would evolve into a fully finished outdoor environment.

The first phase focused on creating a clean, inviting raised patio designed for everyday relaxation and casual entertaining. Built with Belgard Dimensions 12 pavers in the warm Danville Beige color and accented with bold Brooklyn Midnight border pavers, the patio offers subtle contrast and timeless appeal. The structure is defined by a Belgard Wellington Wall in Cotswold Mist, adding both elevation and a refined architectural edge.

In the following spring, the property underwent a complete landscape transformation. All-new plantings were installed around the home to soften the hardscape and add seasonal color and texture. A new front walkway was introduced to enhance curb appeal and provide a welcoming approach to the home, while a large putting green added a fun, functional element perfect for daily enjoyment and entertaining guests.

The homeowners love how the phased design came together, creating an outdoor space that feels intentional, balanced, and tailored to their lifestyle – combining beauty, functionality, and year-round enjoyment.
