Elegant Estate

After adding an additional 1,500 square feet to their already spacious home, our clients sought a complete landscaping revamp for their elegant estate. They desired a design that would complement the curve of the expansive driveway and address the sloping side yard.

We utilized various landscape elements to achieve the stately and elegant look our clients envisioned. Along the sloping side yard, we used ledge rock to create a two-tiered retaining wall. We incorporated a variety of trees, including beech, hicks’ yew, boxwood, Japanese maple, hydrangea, and Norway spruce, in the upper and lower landscape beds. We also added knock-out roses and a variety of perennials. The short path leading to the front door featured Richcliff Random pavers by Unilock in dawn mist.

In the area between the driveway and the street, we added a 66-foot-long landscape accent wall with pillars, using ledge rock and Easton Wall from Belgard, visible from both the front of the home and the street. We installed Kindred Spirit Oak and Rising Fire Hornbeam trees to add structure, as well as knock-out roses for all-summer color, various dwarf grasses for visual interest, and coneflowers and other perennials.

Ultimately, we fully transformed the front entrance into a grand, welcoming focal point. Our clients were thrilled with the results, and we were delighted to exceed their expectations.
