Parkside Waterfront Gathering Space
About
For the Clear Creek Sub Waterfront, the goal was to enhance a newly redone retaining wall and water feature with landscaping that felt inviting, natural, and welcoming to visitors. The homeowners wanted the area to feel less like a pass-through and more like a destination—a place where people could pause, gather, and enjoy the surroundings.
The finished design creates a calm, park-like setting that blends seamlessly with the waterfront environment. Lush landscaping beds were added throughout the space, softening the hard edges of the retaining wall and framing the water feature with layered textures and greenery. Thoughtfully placed plantings add depth, seasonal interest, and a sense of flow as guests move through the area. To encourage people to linger, intimate paver sitting areas were incorporated near the water, offering comfortable spots to relax and take in the views. The patios were constructed using Belgard Origins 6 pavers in Ashwood, providing a warm, natural tone that complements the landscape, while Belgard Brooklyn pavers in Midnight were used as a border to add crisp contrast and visual definition.
The homeowners love how the space now feels like a shared outdoor haven—perfect for gathering, relaxing, and enjoying the waterfront in a more meaningful way.
“Our focus was on creating a space that felt open, welcoming, and connected to the water. The combination of soft landscaping and simple gathering areas really transformed the entire setting.”
